Learning Support Assistant


33.25 hours, term time only

LSA Grade C:  £15,909 FTE, £12,228 pro rata

Hours of work:  8.30-3.15 Monday to Wednesday, 8.30-4.15 Thursday to Friday


We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual to join our experienced team of Learning Support Assistants.  You will work with individual students, small groups and in class.  You should be educated to at least GCSE standard in Maths and English and have the desire and passion to enable students with additional learning needs or behavioural issues to achieve their potential.

Previous experience of working in a setting with children, whilst desirable, is not essential.


You will be required to:


  • support students in small groups 1 to 1 and in a classroom setting;

  • deliver a range of intervention programmes to support the learning of students;

  • support students to access the curriculum in a classroom environment;

  • support students to complete coursework;

  • oversee students in detention;

  • work as directed by the department manager to ensure the academic success of students.


A flexible approach and willingness to be part of a forward thinking team is essential to the role.

Casual Site Assistant

£8.01 per hour


We are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, a Casual Site Assistant to undertake general maintenance and site security.  This role will include working some weekends and evenings.

Lead Exam Invigilator (£8.50 per hour)

Start Date:  As soon as possible

The College is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Lead Exam Invigilator to join our friendly team to manage and lead a team of Invigilators to ensure smooth running of both Internal and External exams. As a Lead Invigilator you will be expected to work alongside the Examination Officer for organising and managing the exam seasons. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is also desirable.

You will be employed on a Casual basis (Start and Finish time to be arranged by the Examination Officer, but will need to be fully flexible during the exam period). Examination schedule will be provided prior to the exam period.

Our team works well together to help create a positive working environment to support our students in their exams. You must be reliable, punctual, be able to relate to invigilators, staff members and students in a calm manner.  Full training will be provided.
