Community
At Applemore College, one of our four core goals is to ‘maintain and develop supportive, friendly and positive relationships with all members of the school community – students, parents, staff, and Governors – and to ensure we build a high profile in the local community and further afield.
Applemore Community Facilities
Applemore College has a wide range of rooms and specialist facilities available to hire to community groups.
Facilities include a full-size, floodlit, 4G artificial grass pitch situated on the school’s playing fields. The state-of-the-art pitch serves the students of Applemore College as well as local post-16 Colleges and Primary Schools. Out of school hours, this outstanding community resource is available for use by the Royal Logistics Corps from Marchwood, Hythe and Dibden Youth Football Club and other local football and rugby club teams.
For information or to book please contact Simon Whitehorn at s.whitehorn@applemore.hants.sch.uk or ring 02380 848804.

Woodland Trust – Green Tree Schools Award
Applemore has been successful in reaching the Bronze level of the Green Tree award. It was through the culmination of various projects run at the school; planting new trees, allowing students to visit woodlands and our reduction in CO2 through our ‘LOL’ (Lights off Lessons) mornings.
The scheme is run via the Woodland Trust and everyone here at Applemore appreciates what a unique setting we have with the New Forest directly opposite the school. We encourage students to think meaningfully about the importance woodlands/trees play in our lives and how to reduce the impact of climate change.
We are pleased to say we are now working towards for the Silver Award!
